Favour is an act of kindness beyond what is due or usual. The divine power of favour enables humans to unlock barriers that human beings cannot control or speed up destinies past known bounds. It propels destinies that humankind cannot predict. The mysterious advantage brings people out of unnoticed existence into desired positions of greatness while overcoming difficulties to empower endless new opportunities. God uses this divine power to establish greatness by positioning his people through an ordination beyond luck. To flow in supernatural favour one must deliberately engage spiritual keys which make it accessible.
The divine importance of keys in the kingdom became a clear teaching by Jesus during His earthly ministry. After Peter confessed his belief about Jesus’ Sonship (Matthew 16:16), Jesus promised to give Peter the keys of heaven’s divine rule (Matthew 16:19). Jesus provided further insight about keys in Luke 11:52 by describing them as powerful revelations which guide people to understand divine principles and power hidden within the Scriptures.
The Pharisees and Sadducees refused to reveal transformative truths that pointed at the Messiah by distorting them so they “take away the key of knowledge.” (Luke 11:52). Through their corrupted teachings these religious leaders prevented people from hearing divine revelation of the Person of Christ and His doctrine and thus denied them access to its supernatural truth and favour revealed in God’s Word.
These four transformative keys are ready to open a gateway when you are prepared to shatter boundaries while receiving God’s divine speed boost and His magnificent favour.
4 keys to flowing in supernatural favour:
1. Favour Demands Righteousness
Psalm 5:12 states, ”For you O Lord, will bless the righteous; With favour You surround him as with a shield.”
As in the case of Joseph, he clearly demonstrates through his life that righteous behaviour draws divine blessings. Through his refusal to compromise his integrity, he generally received divine favour in both prison and slavery. Favour handed over Potiphar’s wealth into his hands. He maintained his stand and rebuked Potiphar’s wife with strong words that said “How then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?” (Genesis 39:9). Through a deep reverence of God he managed to climb from prison to king’s estate. Genesis 42:18, states, ‘‘…..for I fear God.” was Joseph’s testimony in response to his brothers. Lines eventually fell into pleasant places for Joseph because he feared God.
1 John 3:7, states, ”Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous.” We cannot enjoy and sustain the flow of favour without the fear of God as a lifestyle. Flowing in favour demands the doing of righteousness.
CAUTION: Never use manipulation or deception as a means to gain personal advantages. Stay free from corruption and prevent any unethical behavior and dishonest practices. Resist any temptation to trade your moral character for male approval or benefits.
PRAYER: O Lord, grant us divine grace to live righteously so I can receive Your supernatural blessings through Jesus’ name. Amen.
2. Serve God And the Interest Of His Kingdom Wholeheartedly
Serving God wholeheartedly in any capacity and condition brings believers into favour with God. Service to God is a gateway to divine favour. Psalm 102:13-14, states, ”You will arise and have mercy on Zion; For the time to favour her. Yes, the set time, has come. For your servants take pleasure in her stones, And show favour to her dust.”
As in the case of Daniel, he understood this principle and prioritized in his heart the interest of the kingdom not to defile himself with the portion of the king’s delicacies, nor with the wine which he drank as captured in Daniel 1:8. The result? ”Now God brought Daniel into the favour and goodwill of the chief of the eunuchs.” as seen in Daniel 1:9. His commitment to God positioned him for greatness.
CAUTION: Our devotion to God should be authentic without self-serving motives. Kingdom service should take precedence over material challenges.
PRAYER: Lord help us serve You wholeheartedly while directing our ambition toward Your heavenly purpose in Jesus’ name. Amen.
3. Sacrificial Giving in Promoting God’s Kingdom
Favour will always respond to people who tirelessly promote the kingdom of God with their time, talent, and resources from where they are, with their heart in it as well. God bestows his blessings upon people who invest their resources in divine work.
As in the case of King David, he showed this principle when he sacrificially funded the construction of God’s temple.
1 Chronicles 29:3;12, States, ”Moreover, because I have set my affection on the house of God, I have given to the house of my God, over and above all that I have prepared for the holy house, my own special treasure of gold and silver: Both riches and honour come from You, And You reign over all. In Your hand is power and might; In Your hand is to make great, and to give strength to all.” In this text, King David captured his commitment to promoting God’s work and the assurance of God’s capacity and ability to bring favour to whoever sets his or her affection on God’s kingdom promotion agenda.
CAUTION: Do not spare any effort in promoting God’s work with the resources He has entrusted you with whenever you have the opportunity. Start from where you are with the little He has made available to you, God recognizes acts done with genuine honesty. You should donate from the depth of your heart rather than feeling pressured to give.
PRAYER: Lord grant us the resources and a heart for sacrificial giving to advance your Kingdom, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
4. A Lifestyle of Thanksgiving and Praise
A grateful heart attracts supernatural favour. As in the case of King David, he made praise and thanksgiving a lifestyle and favour located him. Psalm 34:1, states, ”I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.”
Favour distinguished David: ”For His anger is but for a moment, His favour is for life; Weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning.”(Psalm 30:5)
Psalm 30:7, states, ”Lord, by your favour you have made my mountain stand strong; You hid Your face, and I was troubled.” So it is a favour that makes us stand out among others as deduced from this text.
Psalm 119:164, states, ”Seven times a day I praise you, because of Your righteous judgements.” This is King David’s expression of his frequency, consistency, and dedication to praise.
CAUTION: We must prevent complaints and negative thoughts from taking control of your words. We should always give thanks to God for all situations while trusting in His divine plan.
PRAYER: Lord, fill our hearts with gratitude while our worship transforms into doors for supernatural blessings in the name of Jesus. Amen.
